In the calm before Bill

Posted in 1 on August 22, 2009 by ceceb3

Although Hurricane Bill is not expected to make landfall in New England, he is certainly providing sunny skies and choppy seas today. We traveled to the beach today, but never managed to hit the sand – instead we visited a little town on the water and enjoyed playing tourist for a day.

I am sure that these clouds were even more spectacular over the ocean in the afternoon, but there were so many layers that we felt as if we were looking through and all-white kaleidoscope.

Does anyone else hear this house screaming “Seaside Cottage!!!!!!”? I couldn’t resist capturing such manicured window boxes – it was as if they were welcoming us to town.

Now this is the type of parking lot that I like…

Just a compilation of photos from July and August… some are from a visit to Boston Harbor by the Tall Ships, other are from local jaunts. Enjoy the little bit of summer that we have left!

A great sun-shiny morning in Boston, waiting to tour the Tall Ships, I saw this wonderful truck working with the firefighters to collect for MDA. It was fun to see little kids climbing up and and “driving” the truck!

Rigging on the Harvey Gammage. It was great fun to be able to walk amongst these beauties!
